How to Use Exercises For Brainstorming Research Paper Topics
How to Use Exercises For Brainstorming Research Paper TopicsWhen planning an upcoming research paper or course, it is a good idea to consider exercising the brain before the paper is written. Some research papers will involve brainstorming the entire paper, using every single word to do so. Other papers may include a few of the topics that will be covered in the final paper, such as data collection and data analysis. If the paper will cover any kind of research, brainstorming is an important part of writing. It can also be used for things like making maps, recording conversations, discussing topics over coffee, or even composing poetry. You may find some of these exercises to be time consuming, but others will be simple, relaxing, and often very rewarding. Most will have you starting at a blank page and writing down everything you think about. Or they may require you to produce a list of ten topics. Before beginning brainstorming, you may want to review what you know about the subject. You may also need to review previous research papers or courses you have completed. Try to keep notes and any relevant stories that come to mind. Make sure you give these things ample attention when doing your brainstorming exercises. You don't want to accidentally end up making the same mistakes again! When beginning your exercise, ask yourself some questions that are both personal and specific. Do you have some personal stories, or experiences, related to the topic of the paper? Perhaps you love listening to the radio, or you have a favorite song, author, or author you admire. Maybe you have a hobby, or a special interest. What do you think is unique about this particular subject, or a group of subjects related to it? Make sure these questions are written on a piece of paper that you can easily remember.Get familiar with the methods of each method. Is this technique easy to follow, or does it take much thought? What methods are more popular than others?Once you have decided which paper topics you want to focus on, you can start brainstorming. Some of the easiest ways to do this are by reading through some research papers, or by reading a good book on the topic. Others include taking part in a forum or online survey. These types of exercises will help you find all kinds of information, and you'll also be in contact with others who will help you along the way.You can spend many hours brainstorming, and you'll likely find a couple of the research paper topics to fit into your own life, or those of your classmates. Many students will select topics from those already chosen by the class or professor. It is just a matter of finding one or two you are excited about. After all, that's why you're doing the exercise in the first place!
